From Callidus Pay Private Package Owners we collect the following data:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Date of birth

  • Email

  • Phone number

  • Country

  • City

  • ZIP code

  • Address

  • Card details

From Callidus Pay Franchise License Owners we collect the following data:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Date of birth

  • Email

  • Phone number

  • Country

  • City

  • ZIP code

  • Address

  • Company name

  • Company accountable person's first and last name

  • Company Country

  • Company City

  • Company ZIP code

  • Company Address

  • Company UIN

  • Company tax number

  • Company SWIFT/BIC

  • Company bank name

  • Card details

We collect the above-mentioned information during the user's registration process. The registration process is explained below for both user types:

Registration of the Private Package owner consists of the following steps:

  • Entering personal data

  • Enter your email, password, and phone number

  • Email address confirmation - where the user receives an email to the address he specified in the previous step and has to click on the link in that email to confirm ownership of the same

  • Defining a PIN code – where the user defines a PIN code to unlock the Callidus application. Here you can also choose the option to use an already-defined PIN that the user has on his phone

  • Defining biometric unlocking – where the user can choose to use a fingerprint or facial recognition as a means of unlocking the app. Here you can also choose the option to use already defined biometrics that the user has on his phone

  • Address entry

  • KYC check - the so-called Know Your Customer check that verifies the person opening the account to confirm that the person is competent to open the account. Unlike other competitors, Callidus Pay does not check the creditworthiness of a new user, instead, KYC is the only check that is performed during registration. During the KYC check itself, the user will be asked to enter some personal data and take a photo of his ID card or passport. For this reason, the user must have one of the documents ready next to him, since he will need to take a picture of the said document with the camera of the phone through which he is registering. Considering that the KYC check is performed by a third party, authorized for that action, during the KYC check the user will be asked to define the KYC PIN code and KYC biometrics. This PIN and biometrics are different from the Callidus PIN and biometrics because they are used only for legal restrictions performed by a third party (KYC and consent to the terms of use of the application for certain actions: payments, account opening, etc.). The user can, of course, enter the same Callidus and KYC PIN, there are no restrictions, and the biometric data is always the same.

  • Checkout – after a successful KYC check (which takes a few minutes), the user needs to pay the annual fee for maintaining the Private Package. Information about the price and price structure is provided on the checkout page. After entering the payment method that will be used to pay the annual membership fee and completing the payment, the user sees the final confirmation screen

  • Confirmation screen – confirms that the registration has been completed and displays the unique Callidus referral of that user, which can later be found in the application.

  • Account name selection - by clicking on the button to open the application, the user is shown a modal for entering the name of the account that he purchased as part of the purchase of the Private Package. The name of the account is for internal use only, so the name can be: Savings, School fees, Business, etc.

Franchise owner registration consists of the following steps:

  • If the user is from the European Union, the next step after entering the address is the KYC check, since he must pass the KYC check and thus become the owner of the Private Package as a prerequisite for becoming a franchise owner

  • If the user is outside the European Union, the next step after entering the address is to enter information about the company, since users outside the EU do not undergo KYC

  • Information about the company - where the user enters information about the company that is the franchisee: name, address, responsible person, identification number, giro account number, etc.

  • If the user is from the European Union, the next step after the company information is to Checkout

  • If the user is outside the European Union, the next step after the company information is the Confirmation screen where he sees information on how to pay for the franchise license

  • Checkout – in the last step, the user needs to pay the annual fee for the franchise license.

  • If the user is from the European Union, after clicking to enter the application, he sees the screen for choosing the name of the account and then the option to become a cashback partner

  • If the user is from the European Union, on the confirmation screen he sees information on how to pay for the annual franchise license and information that the administrator will approve his account as soon as the payment is made

  • Account name selection - by clicking on the button to open the application, the user is shown a modal for entering the name of the account that he purchased as part of the purchase of the Private Package. The name of the account is for internal use only, so the name can be: Savings, School fees, Business, etc.

  • Cashback partner form – where a user from the EU, after buying a franchise, can fill out a form to become a Cashback partner. This is done by filling in the name of the product/service for which the discount is granted, choosing whether the discount is in EUR or %, entering the amount of the discount, description of the discount, adding the addresses of your branches where the discount can be obtained, adding a picture of the discount, entering an email and phone number persons in charge of the discount

We also collect information from mobile devices for a better user experience, although these features are completely optional:

  • Contact list

Each information related to banking activities is purely handled by Intergiro, the BaaS provider of Callidus, therefore Intergiro's Privacy Policy applies here.

Information about General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

We may be collecting and using information from you if you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), and in this section of our Privacy Policy, we are going to explain exactly how and why is this data collected, and how we maintain this data under protection from being replicated or used in the wrong way.

What is GDPR?

GDPR is an EU-wide privacy and data protection law that regulates how EU residents' data is protected by companies and enhances the control the EU residents have, over their data.

The GDPR is relevant to any globally operating company and not just the EU-based businesses and EU residents. Our customers’ data is important irrespective of where they are located, which is why we have implemented GDPR controls as our baseline standard for all our operations worldwide.

What is personal data?

Any data that relates to an identifiable or identified individual. GDPR covers a broad spectrum of information that could be used on its own, or in combination with other pieces of information, to identify a person. Personal data extends beyond a person’s name or email address. Some examples include financial information, political opinions, genetic data, biometric data, IP addresses, physical addresses, sexual orientation, and ethnicity.

The Data Protection Principles include requirements such as:

  • Personal data collected must be processed in a fair, legal, and transparent way and should only be used in a way that a person would reasonably expect.

  • Personal data should only be collected to fulfill a specific purpose and it should only be used for that purpose. Organizations must specify why they need personal data when they collect it.

  • Personal data should be held no longer than necessary to fulfill its purpose.

  • People covered by the GDPR have the right to access their data. They can also request a copy of their data, and that their data be updated, deleted, restricted, or moved to another organization.

Why is GDPR important?

GDPR adds some new requirements regarding how companies should protect individuals' data that they collect and process. It also raises the stakes for compliance by increasing enforcement and imposing greater fines for breaches. Beyond these facts, it's simply the right thing to do. At Callidus Pay we strongly believe that your data privacy is very important and we already have solid security and privacy practices in place that go beyond the requirements of this new regulation.

Individual Data Subject's Rights - Data Access, Portability, and Deletion

We are committed to helping our customers meet the data subject rights requirements of GDPR. Callidus Pay processes or stores all personal data in fully vetted, DPA-compliant vendors. We do store all conversation and personal data for up to 6 years unless your account is deleted. In this case, we dispose of all data following our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, but we will not hold it for longer than 60 days.

We are aware that if you are working with EU customers, you need to be able to provide them with the ability to access, update, retrieve and remove personal data. We got you! We've been set up as self-service from the start and have always given you access to your data and your customer's data. Our customer support team is here for you to answer any questions you might have about working with the API.
